SUGA 2002

SUGA (SAS Users Group Asia/Pacific) is the annual conference for SAS customers in the Asia/Pacific region. This year the event was held on the 19th September at the Darling Harbour Convention Centre in Sydney, Australia.

Thanks to everyone who came and visited the Qual I.T. Services stand. By all accounts a very successful day with well over 500 attendees enjoying presentations in 3 streams focusing on version 9 of the SAS System. Qual I.T. Services presented a paper and a poster which are available for download in our Papers and Presentations section.

Qual I.T. Services presented the following:

  • XML Roadmap for the SAS System, paper
  • Macro Magic III, poster

SUGA 2001

Colonial Stadium, Melbourne Australia was the venue for SUGA 2001.

A great event with many interesting papers. Social mixer was the highlight. Qual I.T. Services presented 2 papers and numerous posters which are available for download in our Papers and Presentations section.

Qual I.T. Services presented 2 papers and a number of posters:

SUGA 2000

14-15th August Queenstown, New Zealand was the site of this event.

During the opening session of the conference, it was announced that Qual I.T. Services is the first South Pacific Quality Partner with SAS Institute. Qual I.T. Services also won the award for Best Poster, which is available in our Papers and Presentations section.

SUGA '99

Thank you to all who visited our stand at SUGA '99 and congratulations to the lucky winner of the Moet! We have been informed that it was selflessly consumed recently with friends!

The presentations were based on the following topics:

  • User Pays: Billing Warehouse Resources: A solution for NT Servers
  • Table Dynamics using Warehouse Metadata
  • Converting your Version 6 AF Applications to Version 8

SUGA '98

Qual I.T. Services attended SUGA '98 held in the majestic city of Melbourne. Qual I.T. finished with two Quality Awards from SAS Institute, in the categories of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence.

We also presented two Hotshot papers (one of which won an award from SAS Institute), and four technical Posters.

The presentations were based on the following topics:

  • Using SAS and the Windows Application Programming Interface
  • Utilising the Windows 95 / NT Registry from within SAS
  • Enhancing your output utilising RTF files from within BASE SAS
  • Enhancing your SAS/AF Applications with OLE Controls

SEUGI

SEUGI 18

Ross Kempe and Michael Matthews attended the SAS European Users Group International (SEUGI) conference in Dublin in June this year.

Qual I.T. Services presented one paper and two posters during the conference.

Qual I.T. Services presented one paper and two posters:

SNUG 2002 Q2

SNUG 2001 Q3

Michael Matthews presented a paper titled Publishing to PDF Made Easy. The presentation described how you can use the SAS System and ODS to easily create PDF's.

SNUG 2001 Q1

Michael Matthews presented SAS Software Version 8, Output Deliveries System (ODS). The presentation included an overview of ODS, new features, basic ODS syntax, customising output with Proc Template and how to produce HTML using the ODS.
